3:1 이런 이유로 이방인 여러분을 위하여 그리스도 예수님께 갇힌 사람인 나 바울이 말합니다.

2 여러분을 위하여 나에게 주신 하나님의 은혜의 청지기 직분에 대하여 여러분이 들었을 것입니다.

은혜는 그리스도의 풍성을 말하며, 이러한 풍성은 우리가 얻고 누리도록 하나님께서 그리스도안에서 주신 것이다. 바울의 사역은 은혜이신 그리스도의 풍성을 믿는이들이 누리도록 그들에게 분배하는 것이었다.
