23:11 그날 밤 부님께서 바울곁에 서서 말씀하셨다. ``용기를 내어라. 네가 예루살렘에서 나에 관한 일들을 엄숙히 증언한것 처럼 로마에서도 증언해야 한다.``

<유대인들의 음모>

12 날이 밝자, 유대인들이 작당하여 음모를 꾸미며, 바울을 죽이기 전에는 먹지도 않고 마시지도 않겠다고 맹세하였는데,

13 이 음모에 가담한 자들이 사십명이 넘었다.

14 그들이 대제사장들과 장로들에게 가서 말하였다. ``우리가 바울을 죽이기 전에는 아무것도 입에 대지 않기로 굳게 맹세하였습니다.

15 그러므로 이제 여러분은 공회와 함께 바울에 관한 일들을 더 정확하게 결정하려는 것처럼 하고, 천부장에게 바울을 여러분께 데리고 내려오라고 알리십시오. 우리는 그가 가까이 오기전에 그를 죽일 준비가 되어 있습니다.``

주님은 육체가 되시고 십자가에 못박히시고 부활하시고 승천하신 그리스도에 대한 증언을 짊어진 그분의 증인들, 곧 한 무리의 순교자들을 사용하기 원하셨다.

We are happy, joyful, filled with ecstasy!

When Christ is our satisfaction

And our one unique attraction,

Christ, the Savior, has become our Jubilee;

Everything is satisfying

When in all Christ is supplying

All the riches found in God’s economy!
