20:19 그날 곧 그 주의 첫날 저녁에 제자들은 유대인들을 두려워하여 자기들이 있던곳의 문을 다 닫고 있었는데도,예수님께서 오셔서 가운데 서시어 그들에게 말씀하셨다. ``여러분에게 평안이 있기를!``

20 예수님께서 이말씀을 하시고 두 손과 옆구리를 그들에게 보여 주시니, 제자들은 주님을 보고 기뻐하였다.

21 예수님께서 다시 제자들에게 말씀하셨다. ``여러분에게 평안이 있기를! 아버지께서 나를 보내신것 같이 나도 여러분을 보냅니다.``

22 예수님께서 이 말씀을 하신후, 그들안으로 숨을 불어넣으시며 말씀하셨다. 성령을 받으십시오.

23 여러분이 누구의 죄들을 용서해 주면, 그들이 용서를 받을 것이고, 누구의 죄들을 그대로 두면, 그들의 죄들이 그대로 남아 있을 것입니다.``

24 그러나 열두 제자중 하나인 디두모라 하는 도마는 예수님께서 오셨을때 그들과 함께 있지않았다.

25 그러므로 다른 제자들이 그에게 ``우리가 주님을 보았습니다!`` 라고 하였으나 도마가 그들에게 말하였다. ``내가 그분의 손에 있는 못자국을 보지않고, 내 손가락을 그 못 자국에 넣어보지 않고는 결코 믿지 못하겠습니다.``

주님께서 제자들안으로 불어넣어지신 것은 바로 그영으로서이다. 주님께서 믿는이들안으로 받아들여지고 그들에게서 생수의 강들로 흘러나오시는 것도 바로 그영으로서이다.
