17:10 형제들이 즉시 밤중에 바울과 실라를 베뢰아로 보내니, 그들은 거기에 도착하여 유대인의 회당에 들어갔다.

11 이곳 유대인들은 데살로니가에 있는 유대인들보다 생각이 트인 사람들이어서 간절히 말씀을 받아들이고, 이 말씀이 그러한가 알아보려고 날마다 성경을 연구하였다.

12 그래서 그들 중 많은 사람이 믿었다. 또한 상류층 헬라인 부인들과 남자들 중에서 믿는 사람도 적지않았다.

13 데살로니가에 있는 유대인들은 바울이 베뢰아에서도 하나님의 말씀을 전했다는 것을 알고, 거기까지 와서 무리를 자극하고 선동하였다.
